Midtown is full of flavor, and one of the neighborhood’s best low-key finds is Mony’s Pizza, a cozy spot that’s winning people over with authentic Italian taste and an atmosphere that feels like walking into someone’s home.

From the moment you step inside, it’s warm, welcoming, and personal. Owners Maria and Joseph run the place with heart, greeting guests like regulars (and often by name). That family energy is part of what keeps people coming back, but the pizza is what makes you plan your next visit before you’ve even paid the bill.

We went for the Italian Grandma Pizza, and it delivered exactly what you want a grandma-style pie to be: thin, crisp, and loaded with flavor. Ours came topped with sweet Italian sausage, homemade tomato sauce, freshly crushed plum tomato, fresh mozzarella, oregano, Romano, and fresh basil, a combination that tastes fresh, bold, and made with intention.

Mike Acosta couldn’t stop talking about the crust, and honestly, I get it. The edges were perfectly crisp, but the center still had that soft, chewy bite that makes each slice feel just right. I was in the mood for extra crunch, so I asked for an extra crispy crust, and Mony’s delivered. The result was a pizza that was crispy, flavorful, and dangerously easy to keep picking at “just one more slice.”

While the pies are the headline, Mony’s menu goes beyond slices with classic Italian comfort food made with fresh, quality ingredients. Whether you’re craving pasta, something lighter like a salad, or a sweet finish, there’s plenty to round out your meal.

Mony’s Pizza is the kind of place Midtown needs more of: friendly, affordable, and consistently delicious. Come for the Italian Grandma Pizza, stay for the hospitality, and don’t be surprised if it becomes your new go-to.

Pro tip: Parking can be a challenge during peak hours in Midtown, so arrive early or give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot before you head in.
