Questions continue even as Enron announces their new CEO, Connor Gaydos. A new video introduction to Gaydos is on the Enron site and he now has a LinkedIn profile. Gaydos is a co-founder of The College Company, which specializes in parody and satire. Public trademark records show the College Company bought the trademark of the former Houston-based energy giant for $275 in 2020. The new Enron CEO is also the co-author of “Birds Aren’t Real,” a mock conspiracy story about the government replacing birds with drones to spy on Americans.
Enron initially announced it was back in business with a “bold new vision” on December 2nd along with a billboard on I-45 near Downtown Houston. The date also happened to be the 23rd anniversary of the company’s bankruptcy following a massive accounting scandal that cost thousands of jobs for many Houstonians.
In addition, an “Enron Power Summit” is being promoted on the company website and is scheduled for January 6, 2025. The company is collecting emails through registration for the event.
